We aim to make applying for a role at MCERT straightforward.
Pre-employment checks
Like other government agencies, we carry out pre-employment checks for all roles. These may include:
- reference checks;
- criminal record checks;
- proof of identity and right to work in New Zealand;
- serious misconduct checks;
- national security clearance checks for some roles.

Before you apply, read the job description carefully and make sure you provide the information requested.
A strong application is clear, focused and tailored to the role. It should give relevant examples of your skills and experience and explain why you are interested in the role and in working at MCERT.
